MIDI shortcut to activate other shortcuts?

An example: I have an APC40mkII with individual talk-back buttons for 8 inputs. I'd like a button to be able to talk to all 8 inputs together. Rather than duplicate all the 8 shortcuts for the 1 "talk all" button, I'd like the "talk all" button to fire all 8 individual shortcuts. This was, if I was ever to alter one of the 1-8 talkback shortcuts, I wouldn't need to remember to alter the shortcuts in the "talk all" button too.
In my example not all 1-8 are vMix Calls. Some are SRT and some are NDI, so talk-back is handled differently.
Is it possible to have a MIDI shortcut to activate other shortcuts, like it is with keyboard shortcuts?
One workaround I imaging would be to assign the 1-8 talk-back shortcuts to function keyboard keys, then have the APC40 1-8 trigger those and the APC40 "talk-all" to trigger all function keys. Is there a better solution?
