Just a thought, is it possible to play edited footage from say a Premier Pro timeline directly into vimix.

This would save having to create clip and bring them in as videos

Not directly.

But, if your PC is powerful enough you may play the video in Premiere Pro and use one of two ways to get it into vMix.

1. Display Premier's preview on a second monitor, and screen capture it into vMix.

2. Hook up your graphics card to a video input card (PCIe or USB3), add an input in vMix using that input as a camera source and display Premuer's preview on that display. Alternatively, you can have Premiere running on a second PC and route it's external video out to the video input card on the vMix PC.

Keep in mind Premier takes over the graphics card when playing back, so any use of Premiere at the same time as vMix is going to cause
some playback issues.
