Do I need to use a trigger?

We've switched from OBS to vMix and I am trying to make things as "automatic" as possible with regard to how we use vMix to stream our church services.
I currently have a static image set with a message "Our stream will begin shortly" and I have 2 triggers set to start recording and start streaming. Once this image transitions from the preview window into the live window these triggers fire off and we are live.
It's really important that there is no audio going out at this time.
The next input is a combination of all of the elements I want on our live feed. I have our camera, a logo, our web address, and an NDI feed from our projection computer. This input should have audio but the audio doesn't work unless I click the M button in the audio mixer input section.
I attempted adding a trigger to the first image ahead of the first 2 triggers to kill any audio but then the next two triggers didn't fire. I suppose it could be how I set the trigger.
I'm sure there is something I'm missing so any help is appreciated.
TIA

Try using shortcuts instead of triggers. I tried using triggers for our church service as well and it never worked for me. I found triggers to be very limiting - but shortcuts are amazing. I can hit one button on my keyboard and multiple things happen at once - very nice for making it as easy as possible.
