I wanted to express support for this idea. I was about to make my own thread but found this in the search. I wanted to address this post:

The current $50/month is 1/24th the cost of Pro ($1200). $30/month is roughly 1/24th the cost of 4k ($700).

Obviously, VMix can be priced whatever they want but this is a solid way of gaining new customers without actually lowering any prices.

Subscription for the other products as well would be great, especially when you just need to add to the big production

or offload some of the recources
like let one computer do the recording etc..

Do that for 2 years, and you have paid the full price of 4K, but you don't own anything. Makes no sense to me.

I love the idea, but those subscription payments should accumulate until it equals the lifetime license price.

Then the user owns a license.
