We have a vmix system that we set up for a weekly broadcast.
Our audio output is hardware (feeding an encoder for tv broadcast via hdmi.)
The vmix is a remote system. Of course the machine is running Windows 7 (maybe my problem?)
We test the system during the week to make sure it is working. Video and audio present.
We repeatedly get burned with the audio output not being there at showtime.
Of course when it’s time for the production, the audio source defined goes “offline” and the remote operator may not have the time or knowledge to set up the source again.
Another problem that happened today was that the external audio outputs (under the External tab gear) defaulted to windows default, which weren’t defined as the desired outputs.
Any tips on getting some consistency? Client is not happy.
We can only ensure that things are working so much.
Nothing is touched between our checking and then actual broadcast time.
