Hi.

We use vMix 4k for our church service - projection and youtube.

Youtube (stream) includes all overlays, whereas the projector output ignores overlay 1. This allows us to put our camera onto overlay 1, ie the stream, without it going on the projector.

From this week we are streaming into other churches and our local Zoom as well as youtube, so i've put together a pre-service playlist of notices to go out on the stream.

Each item is a "Blank" input with the Camera, Clock and a Title on layers. The playlist is set to send it to Overlay 1 (ie the stream). The transition is either Fade or Cut - both are affected.

The projector simply has our background cross on it.

Unfortunately the playlist is jumping/flashing back to the cross in between each playlist item.

See video at
- jump to 8 minutes from the end for my latest attempts. The clock will jump at one point because i paused the stream to upgrade vMix in case it was fixed.

Any thoughts this issue?

Peter.

A follow up to this.

I realised this week that the problem is vMix doesn’t fade between items on an overlay.

Switching inputs on overlay 1 will:

1) Cut off the overlay back to Live
2) Fade in the new input

This is with both inputs set to go Overlay 1 on-click, not to Preview or Live.
