Comparing the Title right-click menu with that of the List feature -- Lists have a checkmark to indicate which video is currently selected. I would like the same behavior for the Title right-click menu.

I assume this to be for a more visual benefit to know where one is in the list (if not reading the info from the title itself)?

Would suggest using datasources instead as one can keep the source window open , do a quick selection and have a very clear positional visual (full colored row )
