Hi there,

We have just bought a vidiu box and vmix.

Struggling to see how we connect the two. I assume you can send the pics and audio to vmix using a CDN.

Can anyone help please?

You would need a RTMP server in-between the Vidiu and vMix.

You can do this on your vMix computer.
Install Red5 Server, it is free http://www.red5.org/ or RTMP Nginx free again.
Create a basic application and get the Vidiu to connect to it.
In vMix open a RTMP stream, the same stream you are broadcasting to the server.

There will be a delay doing this. Vidiu is not designed for live camera work, if that is what you are thinking of doing..

Thank you. Is there a guide to setting up the Red at all.
What would the delay be then roughly? Can this not be countered in vmix?

We are using the Vidiu for live work. The box can also be used to stream to a network, IF the camera is in the same room is there no way of streaming to vmix without a CDN?
