Often a "Playlist" is being used to switch ouputs in co-ordination with some sort of agenda or flow document for the production.
The playlist as it is, is just a long list and its easy to get lost if its a long play list, soon you barely have an idea where you are in the "flow document" vs in the playlist.

A column with sequential line numbers would be super handy, then you can easily cross reference with an agenda or if anything goes south during the production, its easy to get back on track.
