Am on a job with a vmix machine - specs: Intel CPU / X299 Chipset 64GB Quad Channel 2080Ti GFX BMD Decklink duo 2 BMD HDMI capture card (4x inputs) BMD Mini recorder (or similar card)
I get render time spikes (100ms+) every second or so and dropped frames as soon as I record OR when I start external outputs - which it says are due to sources
Project in 1080/29.97p
Inputs: Decklink duo 1080/50i Decklink duo 1080/50p Teams over NDI (max of 4x callers) Name straps 720 PNG images
OPs/REC OP1 - Decklink duo 1080/29.97p OP1 - Decklink duo 1080/29.97p OP1 - NDI OP4 - NDI OP1 - 12mbps / 192kbps mp4 REC (HDD also causes some additional dropped frames)
Using a full screen OP to feed a comfort monitor.
I also tried using the BMD HDMI capture card so one card could be dedicated for IPs and the other for OPs, but still the same behaviour.
The dropped frames mean I can't use the SDI OPs and the records are bad - but when monitoring the audio live in VMIX it sounds fine. (The client said the OP via NDI was fine!)
Am pretty confused and wondered if someone might be able to comment based on this information, I know it's a little wooly, but hoping someone might have some advice!

I've attached a snapshot of statistics from the project - but rather than all the original sources I changed the source as TEAMS ACTIVE SPEAKER to test. stats.PNG (44kb) downloaded 2 time(s).The highlighted inputs are all NDI TX1OP (NDI OP1 as an IP) TIMERLAPTOP (Usually a timer via NDI scan converter on another PC) STREAM (An NDI OP from another machine's wirecast) TEAMS ACTIVE SPEAKER (Teams via NDI on local machine) BART (Teams via NDI on local machine) ALI (Teams via NDI on local machine) ADRIAN (Teams via NDI on local machine) WALDRON (Teams via NDI on local machine) Project is 1080/29.97p STUDIO is 1080/50i (BMD Duo) PPT and VT is 1080/50p (BMD Duo) External/External2 are 1080/29.97p OPs (BMD Duo) Dropping down to a single external OP and reducing all the NDI IPs to low bandwidth reduced the frequency of dropped frames. I'm wondering if I have another PC handling the teams & bringing it in over network might be a better idea or am I likely to encounter other problems?!
