Spent hours today trying to get the "Web Controller" function working (iPad + production PC). Uninstalled and reset everything in sight. Had the function working on a test laptop, but the main PC would not connect. After stumbling through various fixit posts, I happened upon the following suggestion: check the ethernet adapter's power management settings. Sure enough, deactivating "Allow the computer to turn off..." allowed the network connection to function. Ridiculous, but there you are. Perhaps this will help someone. Cheers.
