Hello people,

We've been using vMix for one year now (latest 23.x version) on a newly bought PC with a Roland UA1010 audio-interface (USB, external powered). This has worked flawlessly on many, many productions but since a month, audio gets lost once in a while. One time a few inputs don't work anymore and the other time an output doesn't work (the interface is also not visible anymore in the patch then). And now the strange thing: others sounds via the card (like Windows-sounds) work normally! Also vMix keeps working fine (except for the audio then ;-). Another strange thing is that during a production (recording or stream) it always keeps working so it happens before or after.

Things we've tried:

- using another USB-port
- using another USB-cable
- starting with a brand new, clean project

Things we've not tried:

- Updating vMix
- Updating the UA-1010
(for a reason: we want to find out what causes the fault in the same setting)

Has anyone got a clue?

No answer here but we have the same problem. The livestream was running fine. There was a short piece of static. After the static, the audio stopped working. We had to restart vMix to get the sound back. This is the first instance of this problem after having run for many months.

Our audio input is a Pre-Sonus box going into one of the USB ports. We are running vMix 4K 64bit on a Windows 10 machine.

Hi.

I would first suggest you to try the latest vMix 24.0.0.56 (or later) available on https://www.vmix.com/software/download.aspx and enable the new "Audio Gap Handling" (set it to Resample) and see if the issue persists.

More info how to enable the new feature is here: https://www.vmix.com/help24/Audio.html
thanks 1 user thanked jet for this useful post.
