The video assist firmware now supports them to be used as a webcam via USB. Very nice feature. Unfortunately in vmix, the image flickers and isn't stable. This doesn't happen in other software like skype, xsplit vcam, webRTC....

Please have a look.

I'd love to hear if this is a more widespread issue. I'm about to buy the Video Assist, but if I can't use it with vMix I might have to rethink it.

Have you tried different video formats when adding the input? I have a 1080p/60 USB webcam that goes nuts unless I set it as MJPG. There's likely some form of compression since it's going through USB.

I'm a bit leery of the Video Assists myself. We have quite a few of the older models and they have not withstood the test of time in a posh permanent install scenario. Some have lost their SDI output and others have lost touchscreen operation.
