I have a 2 split, and 3 split pip setup,
I have three rows of buttons currently (akai APC Mini), the first two are used to SetMultiViewOverlay at Layer position 1(row 1) and 2 (row 2), so I can swap out whats in each part of the Pip. by selecting one of the 6 inputs for each layer.
I also set the preview to the input used in the Layer position, so I can use a Joystick to PTZ the image to center it in the PiP box - this works great but uses 18 buttons (3rd row not used yet)

What I want to do is this:
If SomeButtonA is pressed, the two rows will select the 2 split PIP layers as above.

If SomeButtonB is pressed, the three rows will now set the layers for a 3 split PiP.

I'm trying to figure out if this can be done with SetDynamicValue and DynamicInput etc, but I cant quite get my head around it. Should I be able to and if so, what's my approach?

Maybe it needs to be scripted, but I am hoping I dont have to dive in there yet.

Many thanks

Update2 - I can send the buttons for switching layers the input - eg: 2 pip or 3 pip, but I can't figure out how to then affect the input number that each button swaps out, no way to assign that for 6 possible inputs which are different sets of virtual inputs for the 2 pip and 3 pip shots.
so - SomeButtonA - tells the six buttons which Pip input to address (SetMultiViewOverlay DynamicInput1) but the value of the Index,InputNumber I can't assign as there are only 4 dynamic values and I have 6 inputs.

I guess this means I need to get into some scripting...
