A long term complaint and many requests have revolved around spacing issues when using vMix Social with a ticker, usually a top-scrolling ticker.

The issue (and frankly ugliness) arises from the fact that the spacing between social posts either has to have:

  • Fixed sized font and post "slots" big enough to accept the maximum text length set in Social, resulting in long spaces between short posts
    OR
  • Auto-shrunk text so that short posts can be closer together, but long posts shrink text to unreadable sizes.

I can enter pages of text into the ticker element in a title and have it space out perfectly. When social feeds the same ticker, there are gaps because the ticker in "add" mode only allows a fixed sized block per post.

What is needed is an AutosizedTextBlock which will resize the block vertically based on font size and number of characters for the text in that block. Because font sizes don't always map nicely to pixel sizes, you'd have to weight the conversion a little on the big size. Even so, it would cut way down on these gaps.
