Hey Gang, love vMix but find myself wishing it were far easier to take a multiview shot into another muiltiview without cropping at the source level. We need a good way to bring in a multi layer shot and crop it into a head shot box.
I see where no subset is a performance decision, but would a mask work over a multiview to alpha crop instead? Making copies of each source to crop seems like performance overkill itselof.
Your help is much appreciated.

I just tried your scenario, and I would actually call that a bug. All the other functions work when embedding a multiview within a multiview. Zooming, panning, and even rotating all work. It's only the cropping that doesn't work (it only crops the base layer, not the extra layers).
Maybe if we ask nicely Martin and the team can get this fixed, now that v24 is "in the can", as they say.

@ JeffinHighDef
The simplest "workaround" is to use the Mix Input as this will render the entire Image and not just the base layer.

For me it sounds like a virtual set could be a solution. Set the layered shot into a tele and the talent next to it.
