Hi
am trying to configure Companion to control VMIX. Cannot work out how to set up generic play / pause / restart video buttons, or generic next / previous slide buttons, as VMIX API seems to need a specific input to be referenced. Is there a wildcard character I can use as the input number which will work on the current active output? (Have tried Active but no joy)

I am not sure I understand what you are trying, but if you want to trigger a next , previous, restart setup for slides, or videos, that is easy.....First of all, you have to create a playlist, and add all your clips there....I used my keyboard...Right arrow, set to next item, and select the input that contains the slides...and repeated that for other actions, using other keys....worked great until I started using vMix Panel Builder.....

thanks but I want to use bitfocus companion and a streamdeck to advance my slides. I can see how to do it if I create a VMix shortcut key and use companion to "press" that key using vicreo, but not via direct command from Companion to vmix. Just trying to create the most elegant solution!

....I do not use these things, I use vMix Panel Builder, and that works great for everything I need to do in vMix....no bells and whistles ...simple, functional, and works great.

Use -1 as the "Input Number" to execute commands on the "Active" Output
