Hi All,

shortly I had the issue that I wanted to send a call via NDI to
our mixing desk (Panasonic AV HS 450)
Target of the whole manouvre was to get an output free which I only used to
send this single call...

In order to get a signal in the desk I used a NewTek Spark NDI to HD SDI converter.

The Problem was that the spark just followed the resolution
of the incoming call. So if the bandwidth of my call went down a bit
followed by a loss of resolution the Spark also changed its resolution at HD SDI OUT

So for the show, in the end, I switched back to the original output routing...

I couldn´t find a way to fix the output resolution of the spark
and I think there is no solution for that or has anybody an idea?

That's how WebRTC works, we cannot control or force the incoming resolution which is subject to change anytime.

If you can deal with a few more frames of latency, I'd replace the Newtek converter by a laptop running vMix BasicHD ($60)
This way you can send the call via NDI to the other vMix and then simply use the Fullscreen HDMI output (with fixed resolution) to your switcher. Image quality will vary depending on the received resolution but you won't lose the signal.
