Hello,

a friend would like a design for interviews that is derived from Switcher Studio. Here is the Config.xml and the matching pictures.

<virtualSet>
<input name="1. Hintergrund" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="2. Deko Außen" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="3. Links" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True">Interview_li.png</input>
<input name="4. Rechts" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True">Interview_re.png</input>
<input name="5. Reserve 1" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="6. Reserve 2" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="7. Reserve 3" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="8. Reserve 4" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="9. Reserve 5" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="10. Reserve 6" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<zoom name="Close Up" x="0.693" y="-0.571" zoomX="1.805" zoomY="1.805" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" />
<zoom name="Medium Shot" x="-0.511" y="0.529" zoomX="1.5" zoomY="1.5" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" />
<zoom name="Full" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" />
<zoom name="Custom" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" />
</virtualSet>

Interview_li.png (49kb) downloaded 4 time(s). Interview_re.png (50kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

I can get a source for the left half integrated without any problems. But as soon as I add a source for the right half of the image, it appears as a full image and covers the left half.

vMix1.png (791kb) downloaded 0 time(s). vMix2.png (1,349kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

I've played with all possible settings, but unfortunately I can't find a solution.

The solution is certainly very simple, but I am a little bit desperate about the task.

Many Thanks!
-andreas

Use two UVmaps instead cropped like you B&W image if you are using a VS anyway
Will also be easier to fit the video in it (pan, zoom)

I think @doggy is right - if you want to use a Virtual Set, then you would need to use UV maps. I don't think luma mattes are supported in Virtual Sets. In your screenshots, I think it only appears that the left-hand video is matted because it's partially hidden by the 'Interview_re.png' image.

if you want to use your luma mattes, then you could import them into your project and then use, say Interview_li.png, as the luma matte source for your live camera input.
thanks 1 user thanked matkeane for this useful post.

might have to do with the naming of the input , maybe erase the last part of the female's input name ;-)

BTW why does this "problem" end up in the feature request section ?

Thanks for the fast information. Unfortunately, UVmaps cause problems when you insert them into a shape with AI or CorelDraw.

vMix3.png (875kb) downloaded 2 time(s).

That's why I only use UVmaps for perspective overlays.

I also wanted to work with the Luma Key because I wanted to add a blur to the middle edges.

For your information: This is the setting for the screenshot above:

<virtualSet>
<input name="1. Hintergrund" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="2. Deko Außen" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="3. Links" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" uvmap="uvmap1080p1.png"</input>
<input name="4. Rechts" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" uvmap="uvmap1080p2.png"</input>
<input name="5. Reserve 1" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="6. Reserve 2" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="7. Reserve 3" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="8. Reserve 4" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="9. Reserve 5" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<input name="10. Reserve 6" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" />
<zoom name="Close Up" x="0.693" y="-0.571" zoomX="1.805" zoomY="1.805" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" />
<zoom name="Medium Shot" x="-0.511" y="0.529" zoomX="1.5" zoomY="1.5" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" />
<zoom name="Full" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" />
<zoom name="Custom" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" />
</virtualSet>

uvmap1080p1.png (48kb) downloaded 4 time(s). uvmap1080p2.png (49kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

PS: My GPU has just given up and until the new one is here I have to work with the OnBoard-GPU.

Haha... Thanks for the tip ... I have renamed the file (ends like the philosopher Immanuel #Kant now) ...

That was probably not the reason ... ;-)

First you need a proper UVMap and after editing save it as a proper UVmap ( 16bit)

see https://forums.vmix.com/...p-from-scratch#post87962

I just loaded a UVmap in Gimp , duplicated it a and cut out in one layer the left and the other the right part and exported the 2 layers seperatly and put them in a virtual set ... no problem

want faded edges , Luma key the original ( or a virtual copy) inputs and put those in your virtual sets or multiview even
PS That was NOT clear from your original post , image has sharp edge!)
