Here is the scenario:
Two machines running the same version of vMix and Streamdeck software both equipped with Streamdeck XLs.
On machine 1:
I make a show in vMix using a combination of videos, slides, and lower thirds.
I make shortcuts and activators and assign them to Streamdeck buttons using the vMix action for Streamdeck.
Everything works just fine and I can use the Streamdeck to control perfectly.
I take the whole folder containing my elements, the .vmix file, and the .streamDeckProfile and copy it to machine 2.
On machine 2:
I open the .streamDeckProfile that in in my folder and the buttons on the Streamdeck XL change to reflect my choices.
I open the .vmix file and the elements of my program load.
When I press any of the streamdeck buttons, vmix does not respond.
Opening the shortcut tab in vmix and selecting one of my shortcuts I click Find.
When I press the key for that shortcut, I get a different value shown than what I had before.
If I choose it, then the button works as expected.
Conclusion:
Somehow, the numbering of these buttons are changing from machine to machine.
Questions and thoughts:
Who wrote the vMix action for Streamdeck?
Elgato said they did not write it.
Can this be fixed?
I need to produce shows on one machine then transfer them to another machine for playback.

that's not correct I use 3 different streamdecks on 3 differnet computers with a node.js app I can use every of them on every computer without changing the software. The app only brings back key numbers 0-14. So you have to manage the "folder" by yourself
