I'm finding really odd behaviour with a new Birddog Quad NDI decoder when trying to grab vCall isos via NDI and convert them to SDI/HDMI, etc.
We're in the US and our default project settings are 1080/29.97... the Birddog unit sees the vmix Calls at 720p/50hz? I do realize that the callers are limited to 720p...but the 50hz thing is strange. If I select vMix output 1 for example it reads correctly at 29.97
I've reached out to Birddog who sent over a new firmware patch - but still seeing the same behavior, and their customer service people have been MIA for the last week.
Has anyone seen this behavior? or better yet, found a patch or solution that fixes it?

Just got my quad but am not setup yet. How does NDI Monitor read the signal? My guess is this is all 'correct'. Although the project is 1080, the input itself is 720p, thus you're not getting the project scaled ISO, but the 'clean' ISO.

It's because a vMix call signal is unstable. Similar to how it doesn't work with MultiCorder, it doesn't output stable over NDI. The solution is to route the call to one of your four outputs and enable NDI on that. That signal should be stable.
From the MultiCorder documentation: NOTE: Any source with irregular timing such as NDI-HX, Desktop Capture and vMix Call are not supported by MultiCorder and should not be used.
I've read of people running into this issue when trying to capture vMix calls using Livemind NDI recorder.

Another paid option is to use Medialooks VT. It allows up to 1080 from remote contribution with full control, allows for SRT, H265, is able to output NDI (SDI directly with a supported card) but adds costs.

Does Medialooks VT send a return feed back to remote contributors, or must you use the four vMix outputs for that purpose?

VT send a return feed back to the remote contributors and does the mix minus automatically as well. This might help to understand
