As from v22 it is possible to Solo a Bus. Unfortunately this can only be done by clicking the [S] button for the desired bus, whereas Soloing Inputs can also be done via Shortcuts - thus opening it up for scripting.

We typically do "Pre-Shows", that is go live before the actual event starts. Sometimes just with a still and playing some music or a video. During that type(s) of pre-shows we still want to be able to do mike checks with studio guests as well as remote guests via vMix Call, Zoom, etc. Including have them all talking to each other. We do that by getting all studio mikes and call audio off Master and instead to a bus, and solo that bus so our producer/audio engineer can hear as well. Since there are many mikes and many calls this bus switching needs to be done via scripts (shortcuts). It would be very nice if that script could also control the solo on/off for that bus.

thanks dmwkr and doggy!

This is sooo embarrassing. I thought I had looked through the help and forum, but apparently I was sloppy.
Anyways I am happy, my problem is no more.
(at least maybe my pre-show audio setup is useful to some fellow streamers)
