Does anyone have experience using a GO PRO hero 3 (shite version) with VMIX.
I am looking at using it as a camera sitting facing the commentary team as a locked off cutaway shot.

Webcams from my experience seem very light dependant and I dont want to have to light up the area all that much.
The one I have is a Microsoft lifecam cinema HD (black one) fairly pricey when I bought it. Specs on the side say HD 30 frames per sec
I am assuming a Go Pro would be better and more light sensitive but I might be wrong.
I also found this webcam not producing 25 frames a second. Might just be a setting somewhere in Vmix.
I did go to control panel but couldnt find any settings that I could tweak on the camera.certianly via Skype and in good light the camera has always looked great.
It would be good if this webcam up with the goods.

You are correct about the frame rate. Webcams seem not to show the full 25fps. However for a talking head that is not an issue. The LifeCam should ask you to load control; software which is where you access its settings. You should also be able to get to them from the vMix input properties page. With either camera you should still light your talent.

Duff TV, I have just bought the GoPro Hero 3+ black edition and I insert it into a ATEM TV Studio via a HDMI cable, I setup the gopro in 1080 50i and it looks great. What equipment are you using to get your cameras into vMix?

We use a GoPro white weekly. Here is our flow.
GoPro HDMI to HDMI/SDI convertor
SDI to Blackmagic Quad Decklink Card.
Works great.
