I never ever had any problems with Vmix. It never crashed on me, and after many many hours of use, I can says that it is probably the most reliable piece of software I have worked with.
Yes it can be quite frustrating at times, tedious to work with in some of the menus (namely the shortcuts and the triggers) etc. But seriously, the only thing that matters in a live situation is stability and that is why I love this software!
But for the first time today , I started to have some weird problems. First I needed to crop some of the inputs in a split screen custom multiview. I have done it 1000+ times and it always works and it is usually quite responsive. But this time it would not crop. Not a single one of the overlays would crop. They would zoom and Pan ... but no cropping. I tried it in another project with another input multiview, same thing. I must say I have no idea what's going on.
Then the most scary thing of my day happened. The program hanged while opening a project. It just stopped and I had to CTRL-ALT-DEL Vmix for the first time ever. It happened a few times with this single project, and once with another one. Problem with IO from the SSD drive ? Corrupted media?
Is there any way those two problems could be related ? I need to troubleshoot this asap before the week-end. I don't mind reinstalling windows on another ssd drive if need be ...
Any ideas ?
Thx
