I have been asked if I can stream video content with Closed Captions.
-The video editor will provide the videos including .vtt files.
- The stream will then encode through Mux and onto a private platform
This goes beyond my current experience and I am looking for advice about what can be done with Vmix to make this work. Do I need a 3rd party software to get this to work?
I cant seem to find anything clear about it. A few terms and protocols that I'm not familiar with.
Do I need to ask more questions.
Thanks All

Closed caption is possible. Mainly for VOD. For Live it's a bit harder. Vimeo and Boxcast offer CC for live in english only For open captions there is the webcaptioner site available for most languages.
Hope that gives you some guidance

I think the really good solution for this: embed caption traks into MXF or MP4 files. Then if VMIX can "pass through" the subtitle tracks and encode them with "RTMP onCaptionInfo metadata"... hey, man, it can be a dream!
