Desktop Capture for Mac no Audio

This one is for Martin or anyone else that can answer my question.
I have a Apple Macbook Pro Retina running OS X Mavericks.
I installed Desktop Capture for Mac and it loads and is working but when I go into vMix and add the desktop capture input it loads and it lets me change the display etc. but the audio box is greyed out so I cant add any audio, this happens if I load the Windows or Mac desktop icons.
Any answers to this problem would be much appreciated.
