Automatic A Bus on/off when inputs are active?

For my show, I am using the Master audio bus as a talkback channel, and the A bus as the actual stream/record audio output.
I've been trying to set up triggers so that when inputs transition in, all now-active inputs have their A bus turned on, and when they transition out, their A buses are turned off.
I've run into an issue when transitioning between shots that share some inputs.
For instance, I have a 2-shot with Speaker 1 and Speaker 2, and a 1-shot with Speaker 1. Both shots have their triggers that on transition in turn ON, and on transition out turn OFF.
When I transition the first time, everything works fine, but if I toggle back to the single on Speaker 1, his audio bus doesn't come back on. I suspect that the two shots' triggers are cancelling each other out.
What's the best way to achieve what I'm attempting? Basically, I just want whatever inputs are Active to have their A Bus turned on, and turned off when not active.

Hi,
In order to achieve, what you want, there are (at least) 2 ways: 1. Leave the automatic audio mix on, so you do not have to work with triggers at all. 2. Switch off automatic audio mix but put a delay (longer than the transition - if your transition duration is 500, you can put 550 for your On TransitionIn AudioOn - but this would result in a short audio lapse when you switch inputs So better if you do not turn off your audio on TransitioOut but rather on TransitionIn, i.e. your 2-shot is input 1 and your 1-shot is input 2 - for input1 you put the triggers On TransitionIn AudioOn speaker 1 and 2 and for input2 you put the trigger On TransitionIn AudioOff speaker2
Hope that helps
Cheers
Martin

re-enter your audio into a second fader for talkback, then you can let the native auto mix turn channels on-off without any triggers...

I'm either missing functionality, or overestimating the complexity of the desired result. If I'm not mistaken, Marshall wants a setup whereby auto mix won't kill an always-on channel. Martin As above, I may not be following the OP or am missing functionality. But in testing monitoring on a bus (not the dedicated headphones, as I'd also like others to be able to hear someone who is not going out live), auto-mix kills A-G along with the master. Is there an option 1, with no triggers, but audio is always live to non-master busses that I'm missing?
