V 23.0.0.66
- Streaming RTMP to Twitch, all is fine
- Problem with twitch ingest
- vMix stream errors out with full send buffer
- Can't restart stream because FFMpeg2 from failed session is still running in the background. Have to kill it in task manager or restart, then stream works again.
Upon errors or manual stopping of the stream, I would think vMix should wait briefly, then check to make sure the FFMpeg2 instances it spawned have closed, otherwise kill them. The stream indicator should stay yellow until this check is complete.

Hi,
FFMPEG2 should not be manually selected. Please use the normal FFMPEG dropdown option in Streaming Settings.
Thanks,
Martin vMix

Okay, I'll change it. I didn't know it was not a good idea as it seems like many others refer to using ffmpeg2 in the forums, but maybe they're talking about recording. Should it even be in the dropdown if it's a bad idea?

Thanks,
Martin vMix Why is that Martin? I noticed the FFMPEG2 is of a much newer build and the original one much older. I've used the 2 for a while with no problem but I also think there isn't any difference since vMix is only using what it needs which is in both versions. With that said, do you see vMix updating ffmpeg anytime in near future? And does the current one use the latest NVIDIA encoding API? thanks! -King
