Need some brainstorming here.
Goal: to have a recording's filename match a name from a list that I use to display in overlay ( name of person etc). currently I use a vb script to get the correct names to the titles form the long list.
As there is no shortcut possible for entering a filename I could use a autohotkey script responding to the start recording but opening the configure recording, copy the name of the list/title and closing the configuration window (without it it doesnt accept the cahnge) but this obviously still takes up to much time before it actually triggers the recording.
Alternative I could maybe rename the file accordingly when stopping the recording, possible but a bit more complicated to script.
Ther is not much time between each recording.
any thoughts , alternatives on this specific for vMix ?
Thanks

I think adding an optional parameter "filname" to the StartRecording shortcut would be a good idea. I too could have use for it. If there is a code for file name sequencing ( doggy's question), the would be very handy in combination with a file name parameter.
