So, as I’m sure many others are attempting, due to our church being unable to physically meet for services we are trying to be creative with ways to reach all ages of the congregation. Unfortunately we have a great deal of elderly members who are not tech savvy enough to use Zoom or other video conferencing software.

We are wanting to host a Wednesday night discussion and stream it live via YouTube, and we will use VMix Call for our various hosts, and bring up the more tech savvy members via VMix Call.

However, for our church’s elderly members who are craving the connection but aren’t able to use the more current methods of connection we are wanting to give them a phone line to call to be part of the program. We have chosen a service titled “CallInStudio.com” that we can provide them a local number to call in, they can then be on the line listening to the show and then speak to the host. CallInStudio uses the browser to take and receive calls, and we use Google voice to dial in to the host line.

I have racked my brain trying to figure out how to route all the audio so the host can speak to the caller, and the caller speak to the host (both audio going to the stream), and the folks watching the stream can hear the caller.

So basically, the audio from the host that is heard on the broadcast needs to be fed to the into Google Voice - and then the caller on the line through Google Voice needs to be fed back to VMix. Unfortunately Google Voice does not have a Windows 10 App, it’ll just be running in Chrome. I guess we could use another phone service to dial into CallInStudio if there’s one out there that has a Windows 10 App if that would make this easier.

I’m still learning this entire process. I’ve learned a ton since March 15th when we had to shut down so much of what we normal do as a church and using VMix to stream all of our services and VMix Call for dual hosts teaching on streams. But this is the only way we can come up with the involve some of the (for example: widows) folks within the congregation that don’t own an iPad and aren’t able to ask questions online, and this CallInStudio will give us a queue to have several folks waiting to speak with the host and listening while they wait.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I hope I’ve put this question in the right area of the forum. Thank you.
