Hi vMix-User,

we had a webinar today and faced some serious issues and I can't figure out why. Perhaps someone here can help.

Due to internal policies we use GoToWebinar which is not the best choice (video resolution is only 640 x 360px and it often is even sized down during the webinar).

But finally we got everything working with vMix:
- 2 x 4k-Cameras (Output set to 1080p, 50frames)
- Presenter PC (was sent via desktop capture as separate signal to GoToWebinar)
- 2 Presenter with Lavalier microphones
- 2 x vMix-Call Ins
- Some "specials" like lower third graphics
- External output to G2W as Webcam Input, resolution sized down to 640 x 360px
- 2 Fullscreen output with Signal from vMix (the one behind the presenters changed from PPT to Call In Signal, the other one was a preview monitor for the presenters)

We tested the setup (GoToWebinar has a "practice mode") and I was astonished that everything worked so smooth with nearly no delay. I even started the Multicore Recording and everything was working.

Then we started the Webinar (which automatically started the recording in GoToWebinar) and at this point...
...the Program Output in vMix totally stuttered during the whole webinar
...the Call In - Videosignal slowed down and somehow buffered (30 minutes into the webinar, when the call in was planned we had nearly a five minute delay on the video), audio worked fine
...the Multi Core Recording had the same stuttering

In the statistics there was a seven figure number of dropped frames...

I assumed that it has something to do with the GoToWebinar-Recording.

Did anyone face the same issues? Is there anything we can try to get this setup running beside no recording?

Looking forward for your help,

Thomas

What are the specs of your machine ?

What sort of CPU and GPU usage did you see during the call ?

I'm not overly familiar with GoToWebinar - are the recordings being made server side, or on your computer ? Is there a possibility that you are writing too much to your disk at once?

Hi jguk,

the usage was never higher than 30% on CPU as well as on GPU.
The recordings are made in parallel on server side and the PC (so the recording on the PC is without the camera signal).

Maybe it's about the writing on the disk. What I also realized is that I cannot choose the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti in the Performance Settings as recommended for optimising performance https://www.vmix.com/kno...2/optimising-performance

If I do so there is only audio from the cameras. So I have to choose the internal graphic card. Could this cause a problem?

I would think that selecting the internal graphics card is most certainly an issue - how are you currently capturing the video feed from the cameras?

We are using a Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad HDMI for the cameras.

It's strange that the GForce isn't working within vMix.
