Hello,

I'm trying to set up a simple production where I stream two ouputs (say two languages) with two different Audio busses and the same camera images and sometimes differing presentation inputs. All done by triggers, no problem as this:

Input 1 = Output, Trigger Set Output2 to Input 2 etc.

Where I'm stuck is with the Overlays. I need to add lower thirds and those are put on different inputs. As i understand it and has been discussed here Overlays are downstream keyers and don't show up on Output 2 no matter what I do.

My idea was to have something like Overlay1 = on Output 1 triggers Overlay 2 on Output 2 etc.

But setting them as multiview overlays seems overly complicated as each lower third could be set to different inputs. Is there a simple way around it? thank you

What if

you put language1 LT overlay and language2 LT overlay both on your Output say overlay 1 and 2

Then in settings specify Output 1 as output without overlay 1, and output2 as output without overlay 2

MultilangLT.jpg (157kb) downloaded 15 time(s).

That wouldn't help with the "sometimes differing presentation inputs". But in addition he could reserve one more overlay channel on Output 2 for those inputs:

Overlay 1 = differing inputs
Overlay 2 = language 1
Overlay 3 = language 2

Made it work, actualy just had to close and renew the overlay sources so that they show - problem solved. Thank you both for responding!

Found this post while searching for an answer to this as well.
I noticed the final solution isn't posted but after reading it carefully I figured out what you did.

So for future reference...

Say Mix2 is on Input1 which is the French webcast.
Go into settings to set outputs and set Output2 to Input1.
Say your overlay lower third is Input45.
Edit Input45 triggers to set multiview overlay layer1 on Input1.

Input1 = Mix2
Output2 = Input1
Input45 = Overlay LT

Input45 Triggers
Capture.PNG (7kb) downloaded 4 time(s).

EDIT: I'm noticing a flicker as the overlay comes on before the animation starts so putting in a 100ms delay to the overlay in fixes that.
