I have been using vMix for nearly two years. When starting External as I usually do, suddenly I am getting this error: StartStopExternal
Selected Video Format is not supported by this device: bmdModeHD1080p2997
Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.

Nothing has changed in our system, but suddenly the error message comes up every time I attempt to start External. Is this related to an update to vMix or an update to Windows 10? Can anyone help me get this fixed? I am unable to send our services to other areas of our church during livestreaming.

Thanks for any help.

I experienced that Windows updates can set back the Blackmagic settings to default. Open the Desktop Video app from Blackmagic and check the output settings (resolution and frame rate), as well as the connectors settings.
