I am still very much in the learning process, hoping to do my first vmix show in the near future. A number of clients have vmix systems in their studios and want operators to run them from their homes. I have been told to get the Stream Deck XL. I'd like to have something with more than 32 buttons. I know you can make multiple pages on Stream Deck, but if things go awry having to jump around between the pages could get dicey. Any suggestions on what could be used that has more buttons than Stream Deck? I've been told X-keys would only work if I were on-site and it was connected directly to the computer running vmix. Thank you!

I haven't tried the software myself, but Central Control seems like it would be useful for getting X-keys to work with remote systems:

Should give you some added flexibility in choosing control surfaces, too.
