Hi,

sorry - doublepost in the VMIX-Call Forum. Delete the post in the VMIX-Call section if this is not allowed.

We often have the task in various online conferences to allow far more than 8 remote guests to be part of the conference. They do not have to be online concurrently but need to connect throughout the day at different times.

I know that I can build a preset for each guest and load this preset during the conference but I'm not really convinced with that method because VMIX shortly freezes during appending a preset which is not acceptable during a live-production.

My feature-request would be to add a menu item (if you right-click on any VMIX Call), that allows us to set this specific VMIX-Call to "allow calls" or to deselect this option. With the option deselected it wouldn't accept any incoming calls for that specific VMIX-Call slot.

With that feature it would be possible to setup all the calls that are needed during the day (maybe even 20-30) but having only these active (respecting the VMIX-license of up to 8 or 4 or 1) that are needed. So VMIX-Pro would accept 8 VMIX-Calls that are set to "Accept calls", VMIX-4k would accept 4 and so on. So all calls in my show that have a deselected "accept calls" wouldn't count. In addition to that you could use the deselction of "accept calls" to "kick" any caller that shouldn't be connected. The slots that have "accept calls" deselected could show a red cross on the screen.

This would be a great feature to setup the whole show in advance and you would have more control about who is able to connect or not.

Does this make sense?

Cheers

Andrew

The vMix Call is a great tool, but so many clients.

If if you can right click appended calls, select activate or deactive, and vMix throws a warning if too many calls active.

I don't currently need this but that sounds like a good workflow. Disabled inputs could still flash or show a message if someone is trying to connect.

Hi Andrew,
maybe an option for you to look at is our RProducer VMICall Manager. Than setting up the call links for poeople throughout the day, you simply let people visit a branded events page to enter a queue, then connect them to any of your VMIXCall channels automatically or by providing an enter button. Then after you disconnect them and send them to a exit page.

See our demo in the forum here:-
