Hi, if you mean this one
http://www.startech.com/...rd-Adapter-1080p~ECHDCAP

Yes, it works with HD vMix edition.
My experience with this card:

My ProBook 6450b i5, win 7, 2,4ghz works fine with it, but after the card is installed, the fan starts to make louder sound no matter if capture card is in use, just inserted or out of the slot.

However, I can input 1920x1080 from HD camcorder, send the picture to vMix, and stream it to 480p. My CPU is around 60% at 480p. Anyway my laptop doesn't have enough horse power to stream 720p. CPU rises to 95 % and it starts lagging.

Another problem probably not connected with vMix.
I have experienced a couple of freezing with this card. I had to restart my laptop, I am still trying to find a problem. So it is not 100% reliable, but maybe is just my laptop.

This card is 34mm, I use it on my laptop 54mm slot

Have also to mention, that I had to buy HDMI to mini adapter, because the card has a mini HDMI female, like my HD camcorder.

In conclusion it is a nice product, nice picture, but in my case not completely reliable.

i've been using this on my macbook pro I7 with 8GB ram and a SSD hard drive.
works fine with capture and streaming however when i switch on recording at same time then the camera input starts to miss frames for some reason and stream input loses frames

tried with both win7 64 and 8.1 64

checked logs and seems the cpu is not serving frames fast enough despite being an i7

I want to stream live video with the star tech but so far am not having any luck getting it to live stream. I get a black screen and then it eventually goes to no signal. What HD camera are you guys using to stream with the star tech?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

black screen would mean its not getting any signal from camera, did you install the stream catcher software and drivers that comes with card?, I've used various camera without a problem
