I just acquired the BMPCC in their summer sale and so it's a bit of a learning curve here.
But I'm getting strange results when trying to use the HDMI feed into vMix via my Intensity Pro HDMI capture.

The capture appears to be fine in BM Media Express but in vMix it's a mess.

There is a huge shift in the horizontal interlaced scan; My mouth is where my eyes are!
(Also the green bar at the top and line at the bottom of the screen)

I realize the HDMI output is 1080i from the Pocket Camera but I'm not sure if the issue can be corrected with having the proper vMix settings or if somehow this is a defective HDMI feed from either the camera or the Intensity Pro card???

The fact that I get a "clean" feed to Blackmagic Media Express on my computer and directly to an ASUS monitor I tested in the store tells me that I should be able to get the same image into vMix, but so far I have not found the cure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

You might get better results by trying the following:

1. Configure the format in the Blackmagic Control Panel
2. Use the Blackmagic WDM Capture device from the dropdown list in vMix.

I think we got it Martin!
Thanks for pointing out to use Blackmagic WDM Capture as opposed to Decklink Video Capture.
(There are no settings that appear to work with Decklink Video Capture)

As well, the Blackmagic Control Panel needs to be set to HD 1080p 29.97 (in my case)
I had it set to HD 1080i 59.94 as that was the only 1080i option.

Before (HD 1080i 59.94)

After (HD 1080p 29.94)

As a side note, making and applying any changes in the Blackmagic Design Control Panel caused vMix to crash (even though the input was removed)

hi Ice,

i am in the same league: just received my bmpcc yesterday and already very enthusiastic about it.

i don' t seem to be able to captere the camera with a bm mini recorder though, simply because i can not set the wdm capture. will test again with the shuttle and the intensity. i don't know why the mini does not have wdm capture.

capturing film raw with the bm media recorder is working ok, and that is my intended use with this camera, since using a bmpcc has the main advantage of all the colorgrading you can do with this camera in post. color grading in vmix is limited and capturing video i can do with the other camera's ok.

i was hoping to capture raw in cineform or some other format and then use it in post ...

so how are you going to use the bmpcc for icw vmix?
