I would love to see the feature to be able to log or monitor (SNMP or API) the stream statistics, like source and renderer drops.
When running an 'headless' system it's not possible to monitor this data.

Great idea! I'd love to be able to pull the stats into an INFLUXdb to visualise in Grafana. Then I'll be able to see the relationship between errors on different devices.

+1 for statistics API
User case:
monitoring live inputs in external software (node-red) to detect if dropped frames are above a threshold and then do something.
For example if RTMP input start dropping too much frames it may need a reset to reconnect to the server, or maybe we could display an alarm somewhere.
