There could be a place to name it in the pop up dialog, but no...

You have to close it then click the cog and open another dialog
and type in the name. Waited time (and every keystroke and mouse
click painful). That could be better.

But wait, if I move off to another setting, then close the dialog
name does not get saved! Ouch!

And if I manage to get everything just right, and save my presets,
often enough, the settings get mangled. So I load my presets, and
I start broadcast... with garbage.

I was very embarrassed today because of this simple issue, and had to
say "sorry, I'm using some buggy software". I don't like saying that.

Truth be known, this is a clear case of GIGO (garbage in, garbage out),
due to sloppy or incomplete coding.

The dialog is not properly handling a change of focus, and the
save and or restore code for the presets has some bugs.

The problem has existed for quite a while. If VMix is well coded,
it should be a very short job to fix it.

Recent social media extensions and 4K upgrades equate to "Profit before function".

I understand that a successful business must often "rob Peter to pay Paul" to
stay in business. I just don't like being Peter.

Profit and functionality is a delicate balancing act, and delivering software at
an expected level of quality that users have already paid for is quickly becoming
a lot art. I don't think the VMix folks want to be part of that.

VMix has the potential to be the best product on the market, no doubt about it,
and I really would like to see that happen. I want to spread the gospel.

I did my part by buying many copies of the product. And I plan to purchase even
more licenses. Further, I took the time to come here and post a clear reminder
that the code needs a little care.

I want to believe the "VMix folks" have the best intentions, and the best wishes for
both the product's functionality and customer satisfaction.

Clearly, sales and feature creep is eating into maintenance time.

I'm not sure how large the development team is... Perhaps one? I would be impressed
(and that's hard to do).

So what else can I do to help?

Visual Studio I'm guessing...

We are good for that.

Want to send me some of the source to clean up?
