Guys,

I have 2 systems I'm comparing to run vmix ... likely only 1 capture 1080i/720p playout.

1. i7 4770 4/8 @ 3.4 with 32gb ddr3 and 2070 SSD OS

2. i5 7400 4/4 @ 3.0 with 16 gb ddr4 and 1060 SSD OS

Larger machine for multi cams etc is threadripper with 2080ti and plenty of horse power ...

how do either of the first 2 stack up to run 1 capture and few layers etc. my issue is the MB on the i5 does't have an open PCIe slot so any capture is external and i hate that.

Is the ddr3 and older i7 time to be retired its over 7 yrs old but still hums along great as a daily work station ... started with 660 and spinning disk ahhh times have changed ... should i look at a new build all together ... likely a ryzen 9, 2070, m.2 and ddr4

thanks in advance!
