We used to have this complex workflow that used MIDI events to switch shots in VMIX via a MIDI controller, we recorded these events into a MIDI sequencer (DAW) as well then created multi-camera track in VEGAS and synced the DAW to the Vegas Timeline and converted the MIDI events into key commands to select the shots as selected in the live switch from the SD card recordings. Allowing us to recreate the edit and patch where required - we could line up the SD cards to the switched recording and re-build the timeline with a single pass once the media was in sync. - worked but it was quite a faff
It would be great to allow this to be handled by VMIX directly, to create an EDL or XML playlist written at the time of the recording to import into your NLE of choice with MIDI or shot selection events.
The new BM ATEM ISO essentially doing this for Resolve, but only 4 inputs (and we already have a vmix based 6 input system) is there a way for us to have this functionality in VMIX?
Also, can we have TC embeds in recorded ISO multi-corder recordings please? using system clock or something user definable?
Thanks
