I am 100% convinced I am being stupid.
I have Skype running on a second PC, I have enabled Skypes own NDI output. My vMix can see the NDI outputs created, but when I select any of them I just get black (actually I get no signal, as if I use it as an overlay its just transparent). I know there is nothing wrong with the network, as if i run desktop capture or any other NDI source (NDi scan converter, or even vMix) on the Skype PC my main vMix PC receives it OK.
Just going to try NDI Studio Monitor on my vMix machine and see if that can see see the Skype NDI feeds.
I'm a bit of an NDI geek, and somewhat embarrassed that this beating me.
But any ideas?
Keith

I had the same thing Keith, I ended up running NDI on both machines and it started working, no idea why it did but it's ok. The only issue I found is the audio went out of sync, but a few little tweaks and it was ok.
Not sure if this helps but good luck.
