Hi All,

Our company films sports games. Basketball, Soccer, Rugby, Hockey etc.
We have been asked to do one weekly 4 camera production x 16 weeks. We have not done this before.

The clients requirements are:

4 x camera input
Switching of all four cameras
live replays in slow motion (preferably from all camera angles)
1 x Output to satellite truck for live broadcast
record all 4 camera angles
record master high res version of program out

I will need to upgrade my version of vmix to 4k for ulticorder feature.

Can I please get some feedback from members on doing live replays with vmix

1. How easy is it to operate
2. It it fast and efficient to run slow mo replays?
3. Does vmix mark the same in point of say 20 sec replay to all camera angles?
4. Can you play back any angle live and have option to do in slow mo on any camera?
5. Can I connect another keyboard to have a dedicated replay person and have another person controlling switching?
6. Any other points you may think of to help me!

My current pc is:

i7, 16GB ram, 2 x 2TB hard drives, GXT650ti video card.
I will purchase a decklink quad card for the 4 x camera inputs
Have mini monitor and mini recorder in pc as well.

Thanks members for any help,
Bryan

Hello there! Well I tell you, the replays with vMix are very simple to make but you have to practice a lot to learn how to handle them well, are efficient as long as the images are at 60fps, otherwise the image will jump and retransmission lose quality in content. When you set the replays, you can configure the cameras you have set, if you have four for four replays, are people that have them configured in a second pc and move the video to the main pc through an input. In principle you can give the replays of the cameras you're capturing, but in order to do this I think you have to have the settings I said before, a second pc with a person controlling the replays to send you the sign of the four cameras in this case. If you decide to have a second pc, you can put an other keyboard for contrl the images. For the pc I recomend SSD hard disk for SO, it's more fast and stable, the 2TB hard disk are very nice for records.

I hope I've been helpful.

Regards!
