I have a two camera setup and I want to know do i need an input switcher while using vMix as I know you do that within the program itself.

Not if you have 2 inputs available in your capture device.

Or you can use two separate capture devices. But just to caution, if they are the same type of device, sometimes Windows struggles to tell the difference, and you might not get audio separately from both. If you have two separate devices, such as Magewell and Elgato then they work fine, and you can switch between them.
