I have an entire list of commercial assets (of varying length) that I play. Is there a trigger or something where I can get the list to only play 2 and then stop? Currently I just burn together 2 of them in Premiere and do that. But if I could avoid that step, it would be really nice.

@ jvphobic
You have the option to enable or disable each clip in the list, simply disable all the clips you don't want and then play out the list.

That is too much manual work each time. The point is that I can hit a single button and always know that 2 commercial assets will play without having to think or do any setup. I think that scripting might be the way to go. I just need to learn how to script now.

Scripting could do it. If you want to work around in the meantime, you could use two lists with videos 1, 3, 5, 7, ... in one, and 2, 4, 6, 8 in the other list. Disable Auto Next on both lists. OnCompletion of List 1 triggers a cut to List 2, OnCompletion of List 2 triggers a cut to preview, your camera or whatever. Both Lists get a NextItem trigger OnTransitionOut (with a short delay). Don't know what's more of a hassle for you, though. ;-)
