Hi,

I have a show that I am streaming to FB. I prepared it and it has 1 Skype call (for the host), a virtual set, and around 50 videos in different lengths (up to 30 minutes for half of them), a lot of the videos also have
Green screen backgrounds that I am keying out in vMix.
While I was creating the show, I could see my GPU mem slowly rise. However, in the end of my programming, I actually deleted several videos and other virtual inputs that I created in order to reduce the GPU mem.
However, the GPU mem indicator still rose and ended up at 100%.
I ran the 6 hour show on FB live at 100% GPU mem with no clipping or other performance issues whatsoever.
Is this correct? It feels wrong and reading in the vMix knowledge base it does not recommend it going up to 100%.
I already followed all the performance enhancements tips and my Nvidia card has 8GB memory, so it should be able to easily handle this show.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this supposed to happen? I am still fairly new to vMix, so it could be that I overlooked something.

Your help and comments are highly appreciated...

Cheers

It's a common issue, been addressed many many times already on the forum.

When you have many videos in a vMix project, it's recommended to use the "List" input to avoid this.

Thank you for your advice. I was only using the LIST for a video loop of 5 videos at the beginning of my show.
Since, I have various parts were there are 2,3, or 4 videos playing in a row, I guess I will try using several LISTS in my program for all these segments.
I hope this will lessen the GPU mem load.
Thanks again
Cheers
