Hello.
I've an Android smartphone with USB OTG.
I can use a simple USB webcam or a Elgato USB capture device to see it on streaming softwares (USB Camera, IP Webcam etc).
Works very fine.

It's possible to use my USB cameras to make a VmixCall on chrome?

In the Vmix call I hear only the audio from HDMI, not video.
Chrome sees only internal front and back camera, not USB camera.
No way to change the setting also on Firefox or other browsers.

I think I need a virtualcamera made by a right app: which one?

Same problem, for example, on set top box with Android.
Thanks.

I have been trying the same thing lately with an LG V30+ phone and a Magewell dongle.
As you noticed it can only work within apps which bring support for OTG USB, I don't think Chrome does this AFAIK.
I sort of could use with Larix Broadcaster for SRT but had issues with resolutions and framerates anyway.

EDIT : I now realize I might have understood the opposite of what you're asking about... Not quite clear...

Do you want to use your phone as camera on your PC?
Or
Do you want to use an external camera as a source on your phone ?

Both are possible...

1 . use your phone as camera on your PC
you can either use an OTG to HDMI cable from your phone connected to a capture device, preferably an UVC dongle...
Or
use an app like iVCAM (which I never tested but have good feedback)

2 . use an external camera as a source on your phone
As I said above, it's a matter of app supporting video inputs via OTG cable or not. Not so many do it AFAIK but it's coming.
Also next Sony Experia Pro has HDMI input builtin... Should be released soon.

Firts of all: relax

I would use an external HDMI camera connected at USB dongle (UVC) connected at USB OTG in my phone to make a vCall via browser.
Browsers normally can use only the internal cameras (front and back), not UVC cameras.

I would find a workaround to this.
A sort of app that create a virtual internal camera from UVC, then available on browsers.

So I had understood it correctly in the first place !

Not tried with browsers, just apps that support it. Will do a quick check with my phone to let you know

Hello,

I have the exact same problem... I need to use an external device on Android Smartphone for a VMix Call.

Have you found a solution to access the USB/UVC webcam in Chrome?

Thanks

The Pixel 4 and I have used a Logitech camera and liked it. A CamLink won't work for me.
