Is there a better to handle pip on multiview that won't crop?

My setup: (Preview here https://vimeo.com/436215017 Split at 00:28) Input 1: Camera input with green screen keyed out. Input 2: Virtual set that includes Input 1 and a Graphics input Input 3 (See preview https://vimeo.com/436215017) Split at 00:28: Split screen between Virtual Set and Graphics. I have many other layouts similar to this. This layout will not allow cropping or zooming of Input 3 (VMix limitation as I understand it) To get over this limitation, I have to create a 4th "Mix" input with the virtual set in program since the Mix input can be cropped. Now, this would be fine except that I have 5 chroma keyed cameras, and about 60 1080P30 input with various layers, and that's really starting to tax an i9 8 core and a 2080 GPU. Because of the motion background, it would be difficult to create "alpha holes" for the multiview without huge Video files supporting alpha channels. Is there a simpler way to achieve these multiviews without a Mix input?

@ Vince Beck
Can you clarify what the exact issue is? By sending the Input to a sub-mix, you are essentially pre-rendering the Input so that it can be cropped as a single image instead of multiple layers. The alternative is to create a Virtual Copy of your Virtual Set and crop each layer individually in that set. (that is a lot of extra work if you have multiple Inputs of that nature) I am not sure which method is going to be more taxing on the system as it somewhat depends on how many "extra" virtual copies you need to add. I might suggest altering the angle and zoom of the inset PiP such that you lose much of the Virtual Set in the background so that you could then replace it with a still image of just the cityscape for example, giving the illusion that you are still in the same set, which might be easier to set up across all your Inputs (you would also lose the distraction of the doubling of the graphics Input).

Trying to fully grasp the intention but if one uses a mix would replacing its content when needed not be a simplest solution (if needed using shortcuts or even a script ) I assume you want to stick to the merging effect Unless i am totally missing the problem scripting can help a lot or planned layouts with replacing contents and so on

Thanks, yes I'm fine with mixes, it just seems that having a few bumps up my render time quite a bit VS just using multiview overlay inputs.
I have yet to see any shortcuts to change the mix input, or maybe I missed them? Otherwise, I'll have to look into scripting it.
