I am trying to use the vMix Web Browser for Google Classroom and the website background is showing up as black in color. When I click on the settings in vMix, I can see that the website background is transparent. Is there a way to turn off the transparency in the vMix Web Browser, so that the background will appear white, as it does when using Chrome or Edge?

You can do a workaround creating an input 'Colour', choosing white as the colour, then open the input settings for the Colour input and under Layer (/ MultiView overlay) add the Browser input as a layer, so the rendered browser input sits on top of the white colour.

I tried your suggestion and it does work when I navigate the website in the preview window. I guess there is no way to turn off the transparency in the vMix Web Browser?

What do you think the result (color) would be if there is nothing as background to begin with ? Nothing is definitely not white The background is white because that is the default color set by the browser configuration, vMix webbrowser is capturing the webpage's (html) content not the browser's configuration (and can be handy the create html pages to be used as overlay graphics ;-) ) but there are not many websites who haven't got a background of some sort specified Alternatively one could use desktop capture of the browser

To doggy, Such websites actually exist, since parts of the website are displayed in vMix with a transparent background. This part then appears black. If you click on the gear - input settings - you see the transparent part. For example this website. With input color layer (white) and Multi View this works without problems.

I know they do exist but are rare and mostly unintentionally :-) On the other hand is what https://hologfx.io/ takes advantage of (locally) need addblocker in vMix browser ;-) bild.JPG (54kb) downloaded 0 time(s).
