Hello, I want to mix 2 SDI inputs in vmix and have 1 video output, I know that vmix can do it but the question is: can I use a single BMD Decklink Quad? thank you.

Yes you can. The BMD Quad supports a total of 4 inputs or outputs. So yes you can have 2 inputs and 1 output.

The quad is basically a 4 channel capture card. each channel can be either an input or an output. If you use a channel as an input you can "pass through" that same signal on the respective output simultaneously. They are pretty awesome! We have 3 monster PCs PC1 currently takes 6 inputs for mixing and then passes through those same inputs to PC2. PC2 captures all 6 and does delay recording of each for instant replay and PC2 sends It's Program out (the called up replay) back to a free input on PC1. It's pretty awesome really! PC3 takes the program output from PC1 and captures in real time for on the fly editing. I'm just blown away with what we can accomplish with some beefy PCs and vMIx! Thanks Martin!!!
